Hello! I'm EchoFourDelta, a senior staff member over at the SCP Foundation, and I'm coming here to talk a little about the Creative Commons 3.0 License, and how it relates to the content that you're currently producing.

Your content here is a direct spin-off from material originated from the SCP Foundation wiki.

Now, the original content found on the SCP Foundation wiki was created under what's called the CC BY-SA 3.0 license. In full, that's the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported license. A link to the human-readable license can be found here: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ (the full text in legalese is available through a link clearly marked at the top of that page).

In short, this license means that the content you produce here - in every instance, on every page hosting the content - must include both attribution to the original creators of the material you're deriving these works from, must not imply that they support or endorse you, and that the content you're producing must be released under the same CC BY-SA 3.0 license.

In plain English, you need each of your pages to state that the material is derived from the SCP Foundation wiki and its authors, that your wiki MUST operate under the CC BY-SA 3.0 license, and that you need to understand that you hold no special privileges over anything you create here; this means that anyone can take characters, scenarios, events, and material created here and use it in any way they wish, provided they also follow the same license requirements.

If you have any questions, concerns, or don't understand this, feel free to contact to me on the wikidot, under the username EchoFourDelta, or to come to our IRC channel on the SynIRC network, channel name #site19. To access the channel, you will need e registered nick on the SynIRC network.

Thank you for your time.
